The role of a Digital Marketing Strategist/Account Manager within Fortune Media, and the wider Konekt Group, is to manage a number of multi-channel marketing accounts and campaigns. Working directly with our clients, from a wide range of sectors, to create and deliver effective, creative campaigns that drive the growth of our clients’ business.

A Digital Marketing Strategist/Account Manager initially conducts Discovery and set up, a process to get to know the client’s business, goals, and market in order to develop a bespoke Marketing Strategy. The Discovery phase includes client workshop, client and market research, competitor analysis, and digital audits. The setup phase ensures a solid base across client channels, content, and creativity. The strategy document maps out an annual plan for the account and includes an annual task planner used to conduct monthly marketing sprints and deliver on key goals whilst maintaining a constant baseline of quality activity. The typical monthly activities are undertaken by a Digital Marketing Strategist/Account Manager span; client meetings, strategic advice, planning, research, content creation, and production, channel management (PPC social, YouTube, etc.), management of the internal marketing team, and third party suppliers and create client monthly reports.

Each account is by its nature bespoke and may require other less typical tasks like event planning, video production, radio ads, PR activities, production of printed materials, and more. As well as the top-level planning and strategy, a Digital Marketing Strategist/Account Manager looks after the day-to-day client account activities across owned channels using our account management processes and tools. You will be executing content marketing strategies that weave owned, earned and paid channels together and deliver engaging, inspiring and result-focused outcomes.

A Digital Marketing Strategist/Account Manager is supported on each account by Account Directors, Strategists, and Heads of Department. For content production, creative and nontypical tasks they are supported by team members and specialists from across Fortune Media, the Konekt Group companies, and our network of partner suppliers and freelance experts. The Digital Marketing Strategist/Account Manager is also expected to maintain and monitor industry, and relevant client sectors and trends that can be used to inform client strategies.

We are a results-driven organisation that balances creative thinking and the ability to quantify results and insights from data. As such, regular reporting to clients and department heads is required to continually optimize our efforts. This includes the use of our Digital Maturity rating system and client quarterly reviews. There will also be occasions where the role will require you to carry out pieces of ad-hoc client training.

Job requirements

  1. Fluency in verbal and written English
  2. Deep knowledge of Google Analytics, Google AdWords, SEO and Content Marketing
  3. Strong understanding and experience of cross-channel digital marketing strategy
  4. Proven results in effective ROI and growth in campaigns you have managed
  5. A creative mind with a pragmatic approach
  6. Fluent in understanding Data to improve marketing campaigns
  7. Clear and professional client-facing communication skills
  8. Good budgeting and spend management on client marketing accounts
